The letter discusses the problems Wagner was having as a coach for the Pirates given the financial situation. He also gave Forguer advice on how to proceed with his career in the minor leagues. The letter was written from Pasa Robles, California, where the Pirates were conducting tryouts and spring training. The letter is one page, handwritten, signed and on Paso Robles Hot Springs Hotel letterhead.
