Global pseudo-differential calculus on Euclidean spaces by Fabio Nicola ( )
16 editions published between 2009 and 2010 in English and held by 439 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
This book presents a global pseudo-differential calculus in Euclidean spaces, which includes SG as well as Shubin classes and their natural generalizations containing Schroedinger operators with non-polynomial potentials. This calculus is applied to study global hypoellipticity for several pseudo-differential operators. The book includes classic calculus as a special case. It will be accessible to graduate students and of benefit to researchers in PDEs and mathematical physics

Linear partial differential operators in Gevrey spaces by L Rodino ( Book )
8 editions published in 1993 in English and held by 126 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
The book is devoted to new and classical results of the theory of linear partial differential operators in Gevrey spaces. The "microlocal approach" is adopted, by using pseudo-differential operators, wave front sets and Fourier integral operators.Basic results for Schwartz-distributions, c 8 and analytic classes are also included, concerning hypoellipticity, solvability and propagation of singularities. Also included is a self-contained exposition of the calculus of the pseudo-differential operators of infinite order

Microlocal analysis and spectral theory by L Rodino ( Book )
8 editions published in 1997 in English and held by 85 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
There has been considerable recent progress in the field of microlocal analysis. In a broad sense the subject is the modern version of the classical Fourier technique for solving partial differential equations, with the localization process taking account of dual variables. The tools of pseudo-differential operators, wave-front sets and Fourier integral operators have now conferred a mature form on the theory of linear partial differential operators in the frame of Schwartz distributions or other generalized functions. At the same time, microlocal analysis has assumed an important role as an independent part of analysis, with other applications throughout mathematics and physics, one major theme being spectral theory for the Schrödinger equation in quantum mechanics. The papers collected here emphasize the topics of microlocal methods in the study of linear PDEs (analytic-Gevrey regularity of the solutions, elliptic boundary value problems, higher microlocalization), and applications to spectral theory (Schrödinger equation, asymptotic behavior of the eigenvalues, semi-classical analysis in large dimensions and statistical mechanics). Audience: Accessible to a wide audience, including graduate students in analysis and non-specialists from mathematics and physics

Pseudo-differential operators and related topics by Paolo Boggiatto ( )
6 editions published in 2006 in English and held by 29 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
This volume consists of sixteen peer-reviewed articles based on the invited talks at the International Conference on Pseudo-Differential Operators and Related Topics held at Växjö University in Sweden from June 22 to June 25, 2004. The objective is to look at pseudo-differential operators and related topics and to report recent advances in a broad spectrum of topics such as partial differential equations, quantization, Wigner transforms, Weyl transforms on Lie groups, mathematical physics, time-frequency analysis, frames, and stochastic processes. The book should be of great interest to graduate students and researchers in analysis, mathematical physics and mathematical sciences. It is a valuable complement to the volume "Advances in Pseudo-Differential Operators" published in the same series in 2004
Quantization and arithmetic by André Unterberger ( )
2 editions published in 2008 in English and held by 25 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
The primary aim of this book is to create situations in which the zeta function, or other L-functions, will appear in spectral-theoretic questions. A secondary aim is to connect pseudo-differential analysis, or quantization theory, to analytic number theory. Both are attained through the analysis of operators on functions on the line by means of their diagonal matrix elements against families of arithmetic coherent states: these are families of discretely supported measures on the line, transforming in specific ways under the part of the metaplectic representation or, more generally, represent
