Renato Salvi : architect by Bruno Marchand( Book )

14 editions published in 2011 in English and French and held by 127 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Architect Renato Salvi from the Canton of Jura is active in a field that includes public structures, residential buildings, and civil engineering structures along the A16 Autobahn. He has been involved with works on the "Transjurane" Autobahn for more than twenty years. Salvi, an ETH graduate, has had his own office in Delémont since 1998. Building in peripheral locations is characteristic of the office. Despite what are often limited means, an attempt is made to bring out the best from the location and develop constructive solutions that correspond with local know-how and culture. The vocabulary thus developed is sculptural, with particular attention to the quality of the captured light. From inside, views focus on the landscape, and from outside, a strong expression is intended
Graeme Mann & Patricia Capua Mann by Graeme Mann( Book )

15 editions published between 2008 and 2013 in 4 languages and held by 127 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"The Lausanne architects Mann Capua Mann have been active since 1991. Their mottoes are: Distill the answers for the concrete project from the elements on site. Design spaces that, for all their dynamism, are organized in a manner that is clear to the users. Utilize materials that are in harmony with the surroundings. Their structures are compelling thanks to the variety of their views, the diversity of their light effects, and the expressive simplicity of their spatial effects." "This monograph is being published in the Collection Archigraphy Lemaniques, which is under the general editorship of Bruno Marchand. It offers for the first time a solidly based and thoroughgoing overview of the activity of the firm, which has distinguished itself in the Western Swiss architecture scene with its small but sophisticated body of work."--Jacket
Galletti & Matter : collection of places : buildings & projects by Olivier Galletti( Book )

10 editions published between 2005 and 2006 in English and German and held by 104 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Innovative, flexible and pragmatic: the award-winning office of Galletti & Matter. Claude Matter and Olivier Galletti, two young Swiss architects, have developed an essentially pragmatic approach based on sensitivity to location. They begin with an initial concept, not a definitive answer, open to modification during the construction process. The creation of various and distinctive spaces corresponding to situations and demands that crystallize on location, rather than the realisation of a preconceived homogeneous design. This volume, the first in a new series on young architects from Suisse Rom
Quartier Ecoparc : Bauart #1 by Bruno Marchand( Book )

23 editions published between 2009 and 2012 in 4 languages and held by 99 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

An experiment in every respect comparable to the best contemporary international examples of sustainable districts, such as BedZED in Beddington and the Vauban neighbourhood in Freiburg im Breisgau, the Ecoparc district developped in Neuchâtel by Bauart Architects is emerging as an exemplary model of regeneration of a disused railway area. A first book on the Ecoparc district was published when the Tower of the Swiss Federal Statistical Office was completed in 2004. The construction of educational facilities (the Neuchâtel Music Conservatoire and the School of Business Administration) in the eastern sector of the site prompted the project of putting out a second book on the district. The author is Bruno Marchand, Professor at the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne and internationally reputed architecture critic. The publication is illustrated with exclusive photographs by Yves André and Ruedi Walti

Architecture du canton de Vaud 1920-1975( Book )

3 editions published in 2012 in French and held by 41 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

5 editions published in 2014 in French and held by 37 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

4 editions published in 2015 in French and held by 22 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

6 editions published between 2015 and 2016 in French and held by 21 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
