The second part of this documentary recounts the story of Palestine beginning with the strife that subsumed Israelis, Palestinians and their Middle East neighbors after the establishment of the Jewish state. It introduces the key figures--Arafat, Begin, Nasser, Rabin, Sadat, Shamir, and many others--and the pivotal roles each played in the region's volatile history, as the unrest escalated into wars and terrorism in the second half of the century. Mur by Simone Bitton( Visual )

5 editions published between 2004 and 2005 in 3 languages and held by 43 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Ben Barka l'équation marocaine by Simone Bitton( Visual )

15 editions published between 2001 and 2010 in 4 languages and held by 37 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

A fascinating portrait of the "Star of the East," the Egyptian singer Oum Kalsoum. Oum Kalsoum's artistic career is an integral part of contemporay Egypt history. In fifty years of activity, technical means and political regimes followed one another, but Oum Kalsoum never ceased to reign over the musical scene. Her life was one of a novel heroine. A poor country girl climbing the social ladders up to the status of an internationally acclaimed artist. Her success was not only due to her voice, but also to her pride and strengh of character.

4 editions published between 1982 and 2013 in French and held by 4 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Oum Kalsoum Mohamed Abdelwahab ; Farid Al Atrache by Simone Bitton( Visual )

1 edition published in 2009 in Arabic and held by 4 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
