<<Ich glotz TV!>> oder <<Unbeschreiblich weiblich>>: Mit provokativen deutschen Songtexten gegen das Establishment gründete 1978 die ostdeutsche Sängerin mit Opernausbildung Nina Hagen ihren bis heute legendären Ruf. -- Mit der Sängerin und Schauspielerin Eva Maria Hagen als Mutter und dem Schriftsteller Wolf Biermann als Stiefvater war schon in ihrer Kindheit in der DDR für ein politisch hoch geladenes Umfeld gesorgt. -- Schon mit ihrer ersten Platte im Westen, aufgenommen mit der Nina Hagen Band, erregte sie internationales Aufsehen: Die Musik orientierte sich am amerikanischen New Wave und englischen Punk, vorgetragen von der äusserst variantenreichen und kraftvollen Stimme Hagens. -- Die exzentrische Sängerin überwarf sich schon nach dem ersten Album mit ihrer Begleitband, die unter vertraglichem Zwang noch ein Nachfolgealbum in Abwesenheit der Sängerin einspielte und wenig später unter dem Namen <<Spliff>> erfolgreich war. -- Nina Hagen verhalf mit ihrem extravaganten Auftreten der Frauenbewegung zu neuen Höhenflügen und setzte sich auch in den drauffolgenden Jahren mit ihren UFO-Theorien, ihrer Begeisterung für Buddhismus und gewagten TV-Auftritten immer wieder gekonnt in Szene.
