"La vie est à nous", film réalisé à la demande du Parti communiste français en vue des élections législatives de mai 1936, ce film est l'un des plus beaux exemples d'oeuvres chorale du cinéma français. Réalisée bénévolement par un collectif d'artistes et de techniciens (J. beker, J. P. Le Chamois, H. Alekan, J. B. Brunius, A. Zwobada, P. Unik, H. Cartier Bresson...), cette oeuvre fédératrice est un témoignage unique sur le souffle populaire qui a porté cette année 1936. Ce coffret propose également, quinze films militants tournée entre 1935 et 1938, qui témoignent de ces années d'effervescence politique et créative : longs-métrages de fiction, des reportages d'actualités sur les grèves de 1936 ou les premiers congés payés, mais aussi des documentaires réalisés par la CGT en 1938 sur les combats des differentes professions ("métallos", ouvriers du bâtiment, cheminots)
