Also included are letters exchanged between the Lees and Mrs. Lee's parents, George Washington Parke Custis (1781-1857) and Mary Lee (Fitzhugh) Custis (1788-1853) of "Arlington," Arlington County, Va. Letters to and from the Lee children appear as each child came of age.
