Also includes materials documenting her work as a pharmacologist and instructor at the University of Chicago in Illinois and the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, S.D.; articles written by Kelsey while an editorial associate for the American Medical Association (1950-1952); memoranda from Kelsey to John Patrick Swann, FDA historian; background material and drafts for Essentials of Pharmacology (1960), a textbook she coauthored with her husband F.E. Kelsey and E.M.K. Geiling; and files of F.E. Kelsey pertaining to his work at the National Institutes of Health in Washington, D.C., and as assistant to the U.S. surgeon general.
