Print shows a broad country setting with merrymaking taking place on the right and much eating and drinking on the left outside a tavern where many men and some women are sitting around large tables, there is activity both outside and within the tavern, as well as along the fence that separates the revelers from the diners; two men with horns engage a group of dancers and others who appear to be coupling for other reasons. Among those present are five who are vomiting, one of whom is both vomiting and defecating. At center stands a man of the clergy, whose presence may be to tone down the revelry or to imply that the celebration is religious in nature. The scene represents prints taken from two plates and joined at the center for a landscape view
