This film was made in 1947, but it was never shown in Communist Poland. Discovered in 1979 and restored in 1991 by the National Center for Jewish Film. This film records the wartime experiences and miraculous survival of children who came to live in the Helenowek Colony after the liberation. Visiting actors Dzigan and Schumacher provide the children with much needed comic relief, while the childrens' extraordinary resilience and vitality restore the actors' hopes for a brighter future
