Erst als junger Erwachsener lernte er die Gebärdensprache und eine neue Welt tut sich ihm auf. Er ist geschockt, als er realisiert, was ihm alles vorenthalten wurde. Heute drückt sich Rolf virtuos auf der Bühne in Gebärdensprache auf. Er provoziert an Poetry Slams mit pointierten Texten: Einmal spricht er davon, allen Hörenden die Tromelfelle zu zertrümmern, einmal bezeichnet er die Gehörlosen als Feiglinge.
