Illustrated sheet music for a song beginning: Ye nymphs of Bath prepare the lay. Includes music for accompanied voice and flute. The illustration depicts a scene at a fête champêtre: a woman dances in a garden, partly encircled by male and female companions, some of whom appear to be gazing elsewhere. Her soft, relatively narrow skirt, feathered headdress, and the V shape of her bodice subtly suggest oriental influences. A tiered fountain plays to her left; the trees behind her companions enclose the space to the left and in the background
