In 1999, he was sent to Kosovo with the NATO peacekeeping force, leading a tank squadron during the liberation of the war-torn province. "No Bravery," a song on James' debut album was written in the barracks there, a haunting response to the genocide he had witnessed. In September, 2006, Blunt returned to the UN protectorate of Kosovo. There, the two worlds of James Blunt - current international pop star and former British Army Captain - came together for a powerful emotional experience that is captured.The documentary follows James as he retraces his steps, visiting towns he had been charged with protecting seven years earlier, including the site of a mass grave. We also see his own home video footage of Kosovo in 1999, providing a sharp contrast between past and present. And, finally, Blunt is shown performing for NATO troops still stationed there
