This is Carla Bruni's long awaited fourth album. The musician simultaneously explores a whole range of territories: folk, pop and traditional French song, as well as more exotic country, backed by Benedicte Schmitt's production. It was recorded at Labomatic with a group of elite musicians who know how to give it their all without ever going over the top. As usual, she recorded her vocals in her home at night, far from the racket and responsibilities

Comme si de rien n'était by Carla Bruni( Recording )

26 editions published between 1995 and 2015 in 5 languages and held by 237 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Two years after setting to music an anthology of English-language poems from the 19th and 20th centuries, Carla Bruni has once again taken up her pen to write a new album of original songs, the first since her inaugural and highly successful CD, Quelqu'un m'a dit (Someone Told Me), in 2002. What immediately strikes you when listening to Comme Si De Rien N'ťait is its lush instrumental palette. After recording two CDs with an uncluttered, folk-blues style, Bruni explores a wide spectrum of genres ranging from pop to bluegrass, with jazz and flamenco. Bruni's touch, however, is immediately apparent in these compositions that again focus their gaze on emotion
