Moving from the gently romantic through to the supercharged erotic, it delves into the world of the famous publishing phenomenon and presents a history of sexual mores. Charles Boon's early 20th century publishing business with Gerald Mills is a great success but his wife Mary is left yearning for the kind of passion that fills the pages of her husband's books. When Janet's mother falls ill, the tall, dark and handsome Dr Grant looms broodingly into her frustrated 1970's life. With her fantastical desire for romance unleashed, Janet's world is changed forever.
