As the two desperately follow the trail of the chairs, each retrieved chair is immediately searched for the stashed money, and each time there is nothing. When a young couple swindles their father, unpleasant consequences can result. At least, that's what the young composer Paul Heller and his wife Hansi discover. The father-in-law, a tempermental innkeeper, has given the young couple funds to buy a farm so that his new son in law can make a respectable living and hopefully abandon his ambition to become a composer. For a short time it actually looks like the young composer has actually become a good country farmer. Food packages from the farm arrive in Salzburg at the father in law's home with regular frequency. But it turns out the farm doesn't actully belong to the young couple; instead of ploughing the fields, the composer has taken the money and put on an ambitious operetta. The food packages were sent by the farms real owner: the composer's friend Peter Hilpert
