The interviewees are Sam Houston Jones, former governor of Louisiana; Vance Gabriel Plauche, Jones' campaign manager, commenting on the early years of the Jones administration; Emma Michie discussing the "Jones Women" during the 1940 campaign; Clara Gebson, whose husband served with Jones in the American Legion; and G.T. Owens, Jones' executive secretary. Photocopies of five letters received by Daugherty from Sam Houston Jones and a photocopy of the thesis, "From Log Cabin to Governor's Mansion: The Story of Sam Houston Jones," are also included
