English grammar is widely agreed to be an imperfect system. However, looking at where English came from and how it evolved can help one understand how and why these systems are the way they are. This book focuses on middle English pronunciation, a useful tool to understanding the evolution. Pronunciation is difficult to express in writing, so linguists have developed a phonetic alphabet with which to spell out the proper sound a word should have

Capital: A Critique of Political Economy is Marx's most famous work. Capitalism was a relatively new phenomenon to Marx's time. He argues that the system forces the separation of economics, law and ethics. Economic value is replaced by commodity fetishism, and the bourgeois and the working class are pitted against each other. This first volume was originally published in 1867. The second and third volumes were not released until after Marx's death, when Engels found and edited them
Das kapital = Capital by Karl Marx( Book )

1 edition published in 2012 in English and held by 4 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"In Capital, Karl Marx proposes that the motivating force of capitalism is in the exploitation of labour, whose unpaid work is the ultimate source of profit and surplus value. ... Capital proposes an explanation of the "laws of motion" of the capitalist economic system, from its origins to its future, by describing the dynamics of the accumulation of capital, the growth of wage labour, the transformation of the workplace, the concentration of capital, commercial competition, the banking system, the decline of the profit rate, land-rents, et cetera."--Page 4 of cover

The communist manifesto (manifesto of the Communist Party) by Karl Marx( Book )

2 editions published in 1928 in English and held by 3 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

2012 Reprint of 1910 Edition. Exact facsimile of the original edition, not reproduced with Optical Recognition Software. "The Communist Manifesto," originally titled "Manifesto of the Communist Party" is a short 1848 publication written by the political theorists Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. It has since been recognized as one of the world's most influential political manuscripts. Commissioned by the Communist League, it laid out the League's purposes and program. It presents an analytical approach to the class struggle (historical and present) and the problems of capitalism, rather than a prediction of communism's potential future forms. The book contains Marx and Engels' theories about the nature of society and politics, that in their own words, "The history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggles." It also briefly features their ideas for how the capitalist society of the time would eventually be replaced by socialism, and then eventually communism. This edition is the last edition edited and annotated by Engels himself. Contains extensive footnotes and annotations
