Photographic reproductions of intaglio prints, most likely taken by court photographer, Joseph Albert, of a collection of 38 portraits of the most beautiful women from the nobility and middle classes of Munich, Germany. The prints reproduce portraits painted between 1827 and 1850, mostly by Joseph Karl Stieler, appointed court painter in 1820, and two by Friedrich Dürck, and gathered by Ludwig I of Bavaria in his palace in Munich. The names of the women are written on the album leaves in blue, black, and red Gothic script
