North Star: "Kolya, Kurin, Damian, and Marina are Ukraine farmers whose whole way of life is turned upside down when Germany, in disregard of former treaties, takes over the land in an iron-fisted occupation. Many of the enraged farmers take up arms in opposition of the Nazi, heading to the countryside to fight, while the people left behind destroy their crops rather than relinquish them to the German regime"--Container. Submarine base: "It is World War II and the Nazis have just sunk an American ship. The ship's engineer Jim Taggart survives and is rescued by a local fisherman off the coast of South America. Taggart recognizes the fisherman as Joe Morgan, a former New York gangster.
