Und in ihrer Band spielt mit Lenny Kaye sogar ein richtiger Rock-Kritiker! Trotzdem verkörpert sie das Punk-Ethos perfekt: Do-It-Yourself ist das Motto des Albums, die Gitarren sind verstimmt, und Patti deklamiert mehr, als dass sie singt. -- Und nicht zufällig hat eine Zeile aus dem Titelsong - <<The Boy Looked At Johnny>> - auch den Titel für ein berühmtes Punk-Buch der englischen Musikjournalisten Julie Burchill und Tony Parsons geliefert und wurde später auch Titel eines Songs von The Libertines.
