Since he has lost his job, Mitchell decides to try his luck in the Alaska gold mines. Kenney also heads for Alaska, where he falls ill. Mortimer Pearson, a lecherous mining boss, offers to Violet to transport her father to Dawson for the necessary operation in return for greater intimacy. Lightning persuades Mitchell to follow her and he rescues her master, Mort Downing. They become successful mining partners. Pearson's thugs kill Downing for their claim and leaves evidence to implicate Mitchell. He escapes from jail, saves Violet from Pearson, but Pearson's goons trap them in a cabin. Lightning brings help from town and rescues them
