Equilibre économique, formation des prix et actions des agents by Frank Cellier ( Book )
1 edition published in 1976 in French and held by 3 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

The Federal Reserve system origin, purposes and functions ( Visual )
1 edition published in 1950 in English and held by 0 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
Explains the origin, purpose and functions of the Federal Reserve System. Shows how the System, growing out of a national need, was devised to meet certain economic conditions and remain flexible to deal with new economic situations. The film develops an understanding of three important milestones: 1907, the year of the last of the old-fashioned money panics to which the Federal Reserve System put a permanent stop; the period of 1912-1913, during which the Federal Reserve Act was shaped in the crucible of debate and counterdebate; and the year 1935, when the country had time to take stock of what had caused the depression of 1929 and was amending the Federal Reserve Act accordingly. Emphasizes important contributions made by several national leaders. The personalities and high purposes of Woodrow Wilson and Carter Glass are reenacted. During the story of the historical development of the system, the film employs very simple animation in order to give the layperson a preliminary understanding of some of the most fundamental aspects of reserve banking
Ballad of the west ( Visual )
1 edition published in 1951 in English and held by 0 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
Based on western folk tunes and cowboy songs, especially the Chisholm Trail Ballad, this film tells the story of a cowboy's longing to have his own herd and brand and to be his own boss. The cowboy rides across a stretch of Arizona desert and contemplates his problem for the coming year. Should he start a herd and brand of his own, or sign up with the boss for another year and let him do the worrying? He thinks of the joys of his life as a cowboy, including rodeos, bronco-busting, calf-roping and hog-tying, and decides he likes being a drifter with nothing to worry him. Yet, he also dreams of a girl named Ann, whom he considers too fair a lady to be a rover's wife. The cowboy rides over to visit his friend Frank who has established a ranch of his own and settled down to raise a family. In seeing his friend's success and happy family, the cowboy decides that it is time to take on the responsibility of starting his own brand. He rides over to Ann's to tell her of his intentions and to ask her to marry him. The cowboy's way of life and priorities are expressed through the songs he sings
