A Quaker biography of William Penn (1644-1718), who became a Quaker convert while attending Oxford. He was a son of Sir William Penn (1621-1670), the famous English admiral. He married Gulielma Maria Springett in 1672, and after an initial visit, immigrated in 1686 to establish Philadelphia and the colony of Pennsylvania.
