Defence of the incorporation known as the Gettysburg Asylum for Invalid Soldiers, and a protest against the unwarranted attempt made by Gen. Van Wyck, M.C., to defeat an individual enterprise having for its object the erection of a national home for the disabled veterans of the late war. To the honorable Mr. Speaker and members of the House of Representatives; your petitioner would respectfully represent that he is the general manager of the project known as the Gettysburg Asylum enterprise, which is being lawfully conducted under a special charter from the state of Pennsylvania, passed March 6, 1867
