Rakesh comes to know that a man named Bhiku had witnessed his brother's murder, and sets off to find him. Before he could meet him, Bhiku goes missing and no one knows about his whereabouts. Film comes to an end with Rakesh's efforts to solve this mystery, recover the heirloom, continue to woo Edna, and catch his brother's killers

In a village circa the British rule in India, lives a young school-going male named Amal, who is shortly to get married to a girl named Rajni. But before that could happen their little world is shattered when the gentle Masterji is arrested by the police for being a "Freedom-fighter", harboring and training fugitives, and making explosives. Bombay-based Rajesh lives a fairly wealthy lifestyle with his parents. One day while walking on the beach he comes across a beautiful blind girl named Shivani. He instantly falls in love with her. She also likes him but understands that they cannot be married. Regardless of this Rajesh asks his parents to permit him to marry her, to which his mother agrees, but his father refuses. Then Mr. Rai, Amirchand's friend intervenes and offers to pay for getting Shivani's eyes tested. If she succeeds in getting her sight then and only then can Amirchand permit his son to marry her. An eye specialist is consulted who concludes that the only way Shivani can see is through the eyes of a dead donor. However a donor is found. He is Mr. Rai's grandson who dies of cancer. There is a sad note in this death but the good that comes out of this is that Shivani is able to see after the eye transplant and can now marry Rajesh
