Set in the Limehouse district of London, this is the story of Lucy, a 15-year-old living with her abusive prizefighter father, Battling Burrows. Driven from her home, she finds love and protection in the home of a gentle Chinese man. Together they begin to discover the joys that life has denied both of them.
