Blade Runner : The Director's Cut by Ridley Scott ( Visual )
8 editions published between 1998 and 2007 in English and German and held by 8 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
"Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) prowls the steel-and-microchip jungle of 21st-century Los Angeles. He's "blade runner" stalking genetically made criminal replicants. His assignment: kill them. Their crime: wanting to be human. A visual stunner remastered for improved home presentation, director Ridley Scott's vision of this sci-fi cinema classic intriguingly differs from what 1982 moviegoers saw. This version omits Deckard's voiceover narration, develops in greater detail the romance between Deckard and Rachael (Sean Young) and removes the "uplifting" finale. Most intriguing of all is a newly included unicorn vision that suggests Deckard may be a humanoid. The result is a heightened emotional impact: a great film made greater" -- Container

4 editions published between 1993 and 1999 in German and held by 5 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
Since the release of this futuristic thriller in 1982, "Blade Runner" has remained one of the few science-fiction movies to retain its originality and freshness. With his "Director's Cut", Ridley Scott has introduced a further perspective to this visually overwhelming movie. For its inital release a voiceover was added and has now been removed and, with a substantially changed ending, this re-edited version is presented in its intended widesceen format. Retired Super-cop "blade runner", Harrison Ford is specialised in identifying and destroying androids. He is pressed back into service when a group of "replicants" illegally return to Earth, but he soon finds himself as desperate, vulnerable and uncerain as the androdis themselves
