The unique style of singer/songwriter Caetano Veloso is undeniably Brazilian and over his long-spanning career his distinctive style of tropicalia has proven phenomenally popular. He has been described as a combination of John Lennon, Bob Dylan, Dylan Thomas and Stevie Wonder - and then some. This concert, from the Metropolitan in Rio de Janeiro, features Veloso singing classic Hispanic songs from the 1940s and 50s, presented in his own, very personal, way - including Cucurrucucu Paloma as featured in Pedro Almodovar's 2002 film Talk to Her. He appears with an orchestra conducted by his long-serving musical director Jacques Morelenbaum
