The 110-minute video was filmed in various locations including the Fiddlers' Convention in Union Grove, N.C., and features a number of guests including Pete and Mike Seeger, Alan Jabbour, Laura Boosinger, and many others. The filmmakers do not utilize a narrator, but instead let the various guests tell the story of the banjo and its role in American music.
