Brücke by Ulrike Lorenz( Book )

16 editions published between 2008 and 2016 in 6 languages and held by 204 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"In June 1905, four young architecture students in Dresden gave their eruption onto the art scene a name: Brücke (Bridge). The group were united by their protest against established and sclerotic forms of art, adn by their yearning to bring art and life together. Life studies in the studio and free drawing in the open air were the starting-points of their artistic endeavour. For the Expressionist artists of the Brücke, the human being is at the centre of creation. Today, the fascination of this human image comes across more strongly than ever, both because it is authentic and also because it is able to reach out and address this existential condition of each and every beholder."--Page 4 of cover

Dix/Beckmann : Mythos Welt by Germany) Hypo-Kulturstiftung (Munich( Book )

4 editions published in 2013 in German and held by 94 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

5 editions published in 2015 in German and English and held by 74 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

The work of Ernst Ludwig Kirchner (1880–1938), perhaps the most well-known Expressionist painter, reveals a phenomenon, which, to this extent, is rare for the art of the Modern era: pictures painted on the reverse side of the canvas as a category of its own. Kirchner removed a large number of paintings from their frames, turned them over and used the reverse sides for further compositions. The initial spark for this publication came from a rediscovery, which came to light during the restoration of the reverse side of Kirchner’s painting 'Yellow Engelufer' (1913).00Exhibition: Kunsthalle Mannheim, Germany (6.2.-31.5.2015) / Kirchner Museum Davos, Germany (21.6.-8.11.2015)

Otto Dix : Briefe by Otto Dix( Book )

4 editions published in 2013 in German and held by 57 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

His grotesque and satirical paintings of the 1920s have long been entrenched in the public consciousness. But what were Otto Dix's (1891-1969) thoughts beyond the realms of art, and what were his opinions? In contrast to his fellow artists Paul Klee, Max Beckmann and George Grosz, the artist did not publish texts or author books. This makes access to his personal correspondence from the previously unpublished letters in his estate all the more valuable. A selection of more than one thousand documents provides a direct take on the social circumstances of his time

Premiere_2 : Nasan Tur : breaking records by Nasan Tur( Book )

3 editions published in 2011 in German and held by 47 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Nasan Tur's performance interventions, video works and installations investigate in a subtle and humorous way real environments and social frameworks: in his artistic experiments, his focus is on patterns of behaviour, the viewer becomes an active participant and the ability of the individual, as opposed to the collective, to make decisions is examined. Nasan Tur often uses a hint of irony when revealing irritations, flaws and the subconscious, thus expanding the world of our imagination. A specially created video installation, which also incorporates the public urban space, is the focal point of the exhibition in the Kunsthalle Mannheim
