One of a set of prints illustrating pyrotechnical machines financed by the echevins of Paris in commemoration of King Louis XV's victories in Flanders. This print depicts a machine built in the form of a baroque structure decorated with trophies, putti, the royal coat of arms, a winged female figure holding a laurel crown, and a statue of the king. It was designed by the architect Jean Baptiste Augustin Beausire, and painted by Charles Andre Tramblin and Joseph Labbé. The firework display, executed by brothers Ruggieri [Gaetano?] from Bologna, took place on 23 May1745
