122 editions published between 1873 and 2015 in 9 languages and held by 269 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

We do not present this most popular novel by French writer most widely read in the world: the breathless journey of Phileas Fogg, his valet Passepartout, and Princess Aouda, but give it henceforth as part of world literary heritage. Their adventure marks the end of the age of exploration to open the era of modernity: it is hereafter a straight line in space-time reduced to a single dimension that travels around the world. But this linear journey, far from being a pathetic return to the starting point, it is primarily in the field of transformation: the eccentric gentleman who returns to 7 Saville Row has become the happiest of men
The castle in Transylvania by Jules Verne( Book )

48 editions published between 1890 and 2016 in 6 languages and held by 83 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This is the fully illustrated and extended annotated edition including a rare and extensive biographical essay on the author, his life and works plus a wealth of illustrations. Jules Verne has not written a more sane and well-sustained story than this. The excellent descriptions of a wild region in Transylvania and the accounts of the homely ways and daily life of the shepherds and villagers give it an air of veracity not to be expected from this author. The mysterious castle is finely set among the cliffs in an almost inaccessible place. It has been the scene of tragedies, and now after having been long abandoned it is supposed to be the home of supernatural beings of diabolic power. After one desperate attempt to reach it the villagers are stricken with terror, and affairs are in a deplorable state when two travelers arrive. One of them, Count Franz, has reasons of his own for believing it to be the hiding place of a certain enemy of his. He sets out to ascertain, and the mystery of its magic powers is revealed by the fact that two men are using for their own purpose electric batteries and telephones. A tragic romance and the destiny of several individuals are complicated with the physical phenomena in a way that no one but the inventive and ingenious author would have thought of. The glimpses of life in a fascinating country too little known make the book worth reading

A long vacation by Jules Verne( Book )

40 editions published between 1888 and 2015 in 4 languages and held by 74 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

The Texar's revenge, or, North against South by Jules Verne( Book )

20 editions published between 1887 and 2015 in French and Spanish and held by 63 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Thomas Roch is a genius French inventor, who came up with the idea of the Fulgurator, a weapon "whose action upon the atmospheric strata was so terrific that any construction, warship or floating battery, within a zone of twelve thousand square yards, would be blown to atoms", so that "the state which acquired it would become absolute master of earth and ocean," but he has no proof other than his word
