Recordings of Alessandro Moreschi, the last known castrato and the only one to have made recordings. Performances are recorded at the Vatican during sessions in 1902 and 1904. The 1902 session features seven songs, including "Domine Salvum Fac," "Ideale," and "Ave Verum." The 1904 session features ten songs, including "Crucifixus," "Pie Jesu," and "Ave Maria." The last section of the recording features Pope Leo XIII delivering the Hail Mary prayer in Latin. Published by Pavilion Records as "Alessandro Moreschi The Last Castrato Complete Vatican Recordings"
