On the verso of the writs the marshals usually listed the names of the individuals selected. Jurors were selected by town. Pierpont Edwards was one judge of the court, and the clerks of court included Simeon Baldwin, Henry W. Edwards and Charles Denison

Contains Joseph Bacon's milita commission, issued by Thomas Fitch, Esq., Governor and Commander in Chief of His Majesty's Colony in 1761, making Bacon a Colonel in the 6th Regiment (in His Majesty's Colony of Connecticut in New England), along with commissions for Isaac Bacon (Lieutenant in 1801, signed by Jonathan Trumbull, Captain-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over the State of Connecticut) and Captain in 1804 and George Bacon (Lieutentant in May 1837, by Henry W. Edwards, Captain-General and Commander-in-Chief) and general orders issued by the State of Connecticut in July 1837 which altered the way in which the militia was organized and changed how artillery was used within each unit. Also contains account book (1849) which presumably belonged to William Bacon, and a recollection of an automobile trip taken in 1936 and written about in 1937. This trip was taken by Henry Bacon and his wife in Jan. and Feb. 1936. Also contains undated photographs and tintypes of the family and their friends, including one of Judge Curtiss Bacon's home on Main St. There is also a family photograph album that has many pictures of Grace Mitchell-Bacon throughout her lifetime and many photographs of various members of the Mitchell family. The tintypes may be of members of the Bacon or Mitchell families
