The collection primarily comprises the correspondence of Milton Holley and his brother, Myron Holley, concerning student life at Williams College. Included is the brothers' correspondence with their parents, Luther and Sarah Holley, and letters from Williams College friends received by Milton after he left college in 1797. Correspondents include Ephraim Judson, Thomas Fitch, Moses S. Curtis, Elijah Hunt Mills, Martin Field, William Billings and William H. Williams, all from the Classes of 1797 and 1798. The collection also contains several letters from another of Milton's brothers, Horace Holley, who attended Williams Colelge briefly in 1797/8. The correspondence describes such topics as the curriculum, living expenses, health, social life, etc
