Die Jungen freunden sich schnell an und rudern auf den See hinaus. Als sie mit ihrem Boot kentern, rettet Rosmarin den neuen Freund vor dem Ertrinken und läuft ins Dorf, um Hilfe zu holen. Dabei kommt es zu einer folgenschweren Verwechslung ... "Ferien in Tirol" entstand nach der Erzählung "Was am See geschah" von Lisa Tetzner. Die anrührende Geschichte verbindet sich mit der stimmungsvollen Kulisse der Tiroler Landschaft zu fröhlicher Familienunterhaltung mit viel Heimatfilmtouch.
