Substantive reasons for opposing these wars are heard, including the horrible effects the war had on the Vietnamese, and the massive casualties among Iraqis. I Would Never Do That Again follows the welcome home parade for Vietnam Veterans in 1986 intercut with a question and answer period with a high school class on the real experiences of the Vietnam War. The film ends with with a dramatic confrontation between a pro-war veteran and a number of other veterans who challenge the notion of the justice of the Vietnam War. I Would Never Do That Again is the winner of the 1986 Hometown USA Festival Award for Best Documentary
