Using the atomic manipulation capabilities of the STM, we have assembled iron adatoms into a new kind of elctron confinement structure called a "Quantum Corral". The eigenenergies and density distributions of the quantum states of the corral may be measured with the STM and are found to agree with simple models. It turns out that "being" a quantum mechanic, that is, assembling a quantum state, is a lot of fun
