The first part of the collection concerns the genealogy of the Goodrich family. In addition, the collection contains Goodrich genealogical correspondence and research notes about families allied to the Goodriches, as well unrelated families. Of the 709 families represented, those most extensively researched are Austin, Hall, Thyng, and Walker. Aside from genealogical material, the collection includes a few historical articles on Loyalist activities in New Hampshire, which Goodrich was commissioned to write by Professor Bradley D. Thompson, 1945. Following these articles is correspondence and notes, much of it with librarians and editors at NEHGS. There is also a small amount of personal correspondence. Includes 14 photographs, 1870-1910, of various family members Goodrich researched.
