Stabenow calls the Republican initiative to defund all or part of the ACA as "adding insult to injury" as it would deny care women are already getting. Hirono reminds listeners that the Republican House has tried 43 times to defund the ACA, all of which failed. She calls for passing the continuing resolution without extra provisions. They respond to questions from the media. Boxer says she has a bill pending that would eliminate pay for the Senate and House members but that similar bills have been defeated by the Republicans.
