Babe at the breast( Visual )

With soothing lute music and a few classical images of Madonnas with child, contemporary mothers of different ethnicities are shown breastfeeding their babies. The narration extols the virtues of breast milk. A teenage girl takes off her bra by a river and a healthy attitude to one's body and breasts are encouraged. Pregnant women are told to go outside, exercise and wear fewer layers in order to strengthen the nipples prior to breast feeding. Diet is considered to be important. In winter, women are told to expose their breasts to the sun; a woman sits down and loosens her bra and sits on a sunny step knitting. Using Lanolin to make the nipples more supple is demonstrated. A baby is born, a baby breast feeds prior to the third stage of labour to encourage the expulsion of the placenta. For the benefit of first time mothers, an illustration shows how the breasts produce milk. Effective breast feeding is shown. The let down reflex is explained. The qualities of a good nursing bra is described. The benefits of breast milk versus cow's milk is also detailed. Feeding twins is demonstrated; either both at once or one after the other (the narration talks of the parents' {u2018}double blessing')
