in French and held by 1 library worldwide The collection comprises two short letters and a clipping. Heilbuth asks an unidentified person to confirm the time of their meeting for the next day, including his London home and studio addresses (dated in pencil 29 Juin 1871). He asks a friend if he is still interested in the painting he had commissioned several months ago, or whether he may dispose of it (1877 Mar. 22). The clipping from a British paper announces that "the celebrated painter Heilbuth has just received letters of grand naturalization ... as a French citizen," including biographical information. It is dated on the border, in a contemporary hand, July 1879.
