The dialogue parts include 24 German manuscript parts, several of which are fragmentary, 89 English typed or mimeoed parts, 49 English parts in mimeoed manuscript, and 7 manuscript parts in English. The manuscript parts form one set labelled "special version," and seven sets of typed parts are marked "Casino version." Many of these parts carry names of performers and several are fragmentary."

It carries the title "The poachers" and names Oscar Weil as the author of the libretto. It is evidently an English adaptation from the French of Chivot and Duru. The lyrics are in German, printed by Bote & Bock, Berlin (1869). The German is by Carl Treumann
