Cette exposition retrace la vie de Noël Ballay. Y sont montrés des objets et documents rappelant l'homme sous ses multiples facettes : l'explorateur, le médecin, le gouverneur. Des objets africains rapportés par lui et légués au Musée des Beaux-Arts de Chartres en 1901 sont aussi montrés dans l'exposition.
