Niedorajda was one of a handful of Polish films to earn an American release in the late 1930s. A knockabout farce with musical interludes, the film stars Adolf Dymsza as Florek, the zany servant of a stodgy household. Stumbling and bumbling his way from one comic disaster to the next, Florek nonetheless manages to save the day when his master faces a major crisis. The plot requires that Dymsza disguise himself as a woman, an assignment he pulls off quite well, suggesting that this drag bit was part of his standard stage repertoire. The film was released minus English-language subtitles, but audiences had very little trouble following its minimalist storyline--Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide (http://www.allmovie.com)
