The collection comprises ca. 790 items. The bulk of the collection consists of 657 lithographs by Paul Gavarni; of these 454 are bound into 12 volumes, and 203 are loose prints. All but one of the Gavarni lithographs are in black and white. There is also a monograph with 80 plates printed from original drawings by Gavarni but transferred to stone by Paul Mechel. Also included is artwork by numerous other artists from the 19th and 20th centuries, mainly French, but also German, Greek, and American, and a small number of anonymous prints

It is printed in five colors, blue, yellow, green, light pink, and red on chine volant paper. Depicted is an idyllic Arcadian scene, that includes a male nude figure sitting under a tree, playing flute, and two seminude figures listening to him, a woman standing and another man sitting

Other letters are addressed to: Georges de Bellio (1882, 1891); Paul Durand-Ruel (1888); Maximilien Luce (1889-1890); Georges Petit (1889); Theodore Child (1889); Gustave Geffroy (1890); Claude Monet (1890-1891); Paul Signac (1894); Hippolyte Petitjean (1893, 1897); Ambroise Vollard (1896); and Andre Portier (1897); and include mention of personal matters, upcoming exhibitions and work in progress.
