Abstract:
Describes genetic algorithms and how they can be used to search the space of possible solutions to find the best fit. Provides examples of problems that can be approached by genetic algorithms. Also presents the concept of classifiers, populations of "if ... then" rules, and shows how these are applied to robot-like animate problems.
