Abstract:
The story of artist Estelle Ishigo, a Caucasian who was interned because she refused to be separated from her Japanese-American husband. She recorded 4 years of life behind barbed wire at the desolate Heart Mountain camp in Wyoming through crayon sketches and watercolors and wrote a novel. She died in deprivation.
