I grabbed this book becasue I had nothing else better to do. Doubtful after reading the cover thinking the story was going to be too kiddy. I stand corrected, Jonathon Stroud takes a unique approach to writing. Bartimaeus is one of the best characters I have ever had the jo of reading. He is so funny I still can't get over him not being real!Golem's eye was just as good. I can't wait to get my hands on Ptolemy's gate.
